The Midland Buyers Guide (MDBG) has served the residents of Midland County, as well as a major part of Bay County, and northwestern Saginaw County, since 1972. The MDBG is owned by the Journal Register Co., based in Yardley, PA, since August, 2004. Our regional office and administrative staff is located in Mt. Pleasant, MI.

The MDBG is a weekly publication that covers the major communities of Midland, Auburn, Freeland, Sanford, and western Bay City (west of M-13/Euclid Ave.), as well as Averill, Crump, Gordonville, Hope, and North Bradley. Circulation has remained solid at 23,700, with an estimated readership of 54,000. Seasonal circulation changes are minimal.

On a regular basis, we provide a Community News page with local events, seasonal, promotional events to engage our youth, as well as a large variety of classified and display advertising. On a regular basis, we offer targeted event sections to add value to our display advertising and provide editorial content to grow readership. Among the variety of sections we offer are a “55 Plus” section for senior citizens the first Sunday of each month, and a NASCAR or Car Care section each week.

In conjunction with the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce, we publish and distribute the Chamber’s monthly newsletter, The Midland Business Focus. The Focus provides Chamber news and is an additional media venue for local and regional advertisers.

With our location in Midland, the county seat of Midland County, we are strategically located to reach major parts of the Tri-Cities. Midland is home to The Dow Chemical Company, Dow Corning, and the newest member, the Great Lakes Loons baseball team, a Single-A Affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Loons play at the Dow Diamond.
